Housing Project: Vision
Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.
- Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. (1929 - 1968)
Our mission is to bring awareness of the issues of human trafficking, to be a voice for those who have been silenced, and to rescue and restore victims. Safe housing is a key element in restoring lives and bringing hope for a brighter future. We are currently focusing all fundraising efforts on building a facility here in the Baton Rouge area; the first of such in the state. The home will provide not only safety and shelter but vocational, social and medical services as well.
The Hope House will be a 10-12 bed facility, specifically designed for rehabilitating trafficking victims. Our goal is to offer comprehensive services that address every facet of recovery. These victims have been exploited physically, mentally, emotionally, financially and spiritually. Health and wholeness will require a dedicated effort to restore these victims in every area. We cannot just offer them housing…we have to offer them hope.
To raise money for the home, Trafficking Hope is hosting the “Faces of Hope” Gala and Silent Auction on Saturday April 21, 2012 at the Louisiana State Museum (660 N 4th St, Baton Rouge, LA 70802) for a night of fun and education while enjoying local hors de'ovres, an open bar, a live band, our special keynote speaker, and hundreds of auction items to bid on!
All proceeds will support victims and a Hope Housein our state.
Tickets are limited, so we hope you will join us for this important event!
