About: The Campaign

Trafficking Hope’s focus is to promote public awareness and to provide safe housing for victims of human trafficking. By partnering with local churches like Healing Place Church, outreaches to the streets, corner stores, truck stops and strip clubs, relationships are being built between victims and service providers. These outreaches support the identification of human trafficking victims among vulnerable populations, which include homeless and at-risk youth, women and girls exploited through commercial sex, and migrant farm workers. The ultimate purpose of these outreaches is to develop trusting relationships with those who are trafficked or at risk of being trafficked, so that we can most effectively aid and rescue them.

Trafficking Hope awareness efforts include the use of billboards, radio spots, and print media to inform the public and call to arms those who are willing to fight against the sale of human beings.  Additionally, we provide training to various schools, businesses, organizations, and medical facilities around the state to help recognize potential victims and provide them with an education on what to do after these victims have been identified. We also set up informational booths at various conferences and tradeshows to educate those who show a special interest and want to get involved. By partnering with college campuses across the nation we are enlisting a generation of men and women who are willing to stand up against human trafficking.

We understand that the effort to fight human trafficking in our own cities cannot come from one individual, one group, or one agency. This is a collective and strategic plan utilizing the strengths of everyone.
